Can I sell my boat without the title transfered in my name?

I bought a boat and need to sell it the title isnt transfered yet. can I just give it to whoever buys it and let them transfer it or shall I go transfer first?

    you should be able to.just write out a bill of sale with the vin number and the length of the boat also the id numbers that are on each side of the boat…besure and put that you are also selling the motor and what horsepower it is and the amount sold for and the buyer shouldnt have a problem….if you are selling the trailer with it the buyer and just say that its a home made trlr and never been registered

    is the title signed by the person who did own it ?Than yes,as long as your name was never added any where on it,write the new buyer name where yours should have been.
