   At your price range a houseboat would be old and need work.If the inside looks good the underside probably needs to be reskinned. Engines, generators,holding tanks, heads, a/c, heat appliances and plumbing all need to be checked.
   Make sure the ribs holding the deck are in good shape. And the deck has not been rusted. Make sure it has not sank, if it has between the bottom and deck should showsigns of how long it was under water. check the engine compartment, and the holding tanks compartments, and any other access underneath. Idon’t know where you are using the boat but for the money you want to spend about a 21′ open bow is a good choice.Remember this, after the warranty runs out you have breakdowns every 4-5 times out. fuel is expensive, even though your friends say they will help with fuel and breakdowns, they don’t.
